FIRE FOR HIRE

 I am a fire performer. I made gelato for Grom in Manhattan, I am a Screen Printer and former film student at Full Sail University. I love producing and creating  material that I can use to express myself through mediums that allow our communities to grow and flourish through the arts.

I'm from Florida. Small town kid, hard working family. Long story short, in January of 2015, I completely uprooted from my house, job, commitments, everything and hit the road on that cliche "Running away to California" kick. I had a little bit more motivation than your average guy having a bad day saying he's running to greener grass. I got a call from my producer/director friend whom I had the pleasure of working with in high school shooting a documentary about a fight club I help found with a couple friends.

4 years later and many film festivals and awards, my phone rang as I was laying down in bed. It was Nico, my friend who flew out on a red eye to film a few kids in a rural town that was on the outskirts of Tampa who liked to for better terms beat each other up. He was calling to tell me that after all this time and much labor, he had turned this once high school hot shot doc that we were so proud of as kids into an actual feature film that was starting production in a week (Juveniles) .

Now there was not much of a budget, but if I could find a way to get from Tampa, Fl -> L.A. , California the offer was extended for me to come kick it on set.

I'm a movie buff. I love stories that evoke emotion. I took T.V. production classes in high school.

I wasn't able to finish college at Full Sail University (Film/Photography) for financial reasons. My family was going through an 8 year stretch where they lost their business in a fire and had to focus on keeping everything together for myself and my little brothers. This was my chance, my excuse, my call to get out.

I would have at this time never saw myself on an actual movie set, able to be a part of an actual production, much less one inspired by MY story.The next day I went to work and talked to my boss about the opportunity, and was told to pursue it. This is where the real story begins.

I have been on an adventure crossing places all over the country and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

 

From Colorado to Las Vegas, To Los Angeles and Sacramento and even New York City. I traveled for half a year via Greyhound and countless obstacles, but with the company of my loving partner and the help of many friends and family I was in (2) film productions, a music video for a Brooklyn based rap group (Pfaze1) as well as my first and many professional fire gigs.

 

I have been performing for years. From my early years in stage productions, to JROTC Drill and Ceremony, Martial Arts and MMA competition and of course Photo, T.V.  & Film Production. Ultimately my love of martial arts, entertainment and performing led me to Fire and Prop manipulation.  It is the perflect blend of mind and body, coordination and choreography. An ultimate form of discipline and self-expression.
